Updated: Mar 9, 2020

About This Game A Virtual Reality Cricket Game for the HTC Vive that emerges you right in the heart of the cricketing action. You find yourself in the middle facing a variety of bowlers from fast paced seam to off spin and leg spin as you try to hit a record score and join the Honours Board. Play against friends in this immersive environment taking it in turns to out do each others scores. Features include: - Village, County and International options for difficulty levels - Slow, Medium, Fast Medium, Fast, Off Spin and Leg Spin bowling options - In game crowd noise and reaction to shots - Digital score board showing latest scores - Honours board showing all time highest scores - Separate view for friends watching on a screen that shows bowling MPH, strike rate, team total etc... - Left and Right hand settings - Varying speed, line and length from each bowler A very enjoyable and realistic batting challenge for any cricket fan with more features being added all the time. The game makes use of the HTC Vive's hand held controllers to put a realistic bat in your hands so you feel like you're actually batting, rather than playing a computer game with a traditional controller. a09c17d780 Title: Balls! Virtual Reality CricketGenre: SportsDeveloper:Karl Binder, David NestorukPublisher:stickeeRelease Date: 7 Feb, 2018 Balls! Virtual Reality Cricket Torrent Download [FULL] I have bought a number of cricket games as I love the game and have played it for over 20 years. However, none of the game are yet at the stage where they can be regarded as being great. Having said that, I would thing Balls! probably needs to do the least amount to make it a fully fledge cricket game. The biggest issue with all the cricket games are the speed of the ball and the resultant impact with the bat. Unfortuantely, Balls! is the least realistic. The leg spinner is bowling bouncers. The speed at which the fast bowler delivers is just a tad below the speed of light I would think. And the way the ball flies off despite me just blocking is totally unrealistic. The only playable option in this game is to go into the practice nets and put on slow bowling to have some realistic fun. Otherwise the game is unplayable and frustrating. Recommendations to make the game great:1. Change the bowling speeds. This is not sticks cricket and if that is what you are emulating then it is a waste given how great this could be. I think the best way of resolving this issue is to provide an ingame option to change teh speed of the ball as a level. From maybe 10 to 100. When you change the speed it should change the speed of all the different styles by that margin across the board. For example, if I change the speed to 80% of what is the fastest then all other bowling styles should also be adjusted by 20%.2. The way the ball comes off the bat is not realistic. This may be resolved somewhat when the speed of the ball is changed but I doubt it. The ball flies off no matter if you are blocking or taking a swing. The game should be taking into consideration the speed of the ball, the speed of the bat swing, the angle at which impact is made between the bat and the ball and the timing of that impact. For example, if I am blocking and the ball hits the middle of the bat, it shouldnt go flying off, it should maybe dribble 3-5 meteres infront of the bat. And when I am blocking but it hits the edge, it is reasonable that it might fly a certain distance but not for a six or 100 meters in the air everytime.3. provide more options to the player. Allow uys to pick what kind of bolwers we want to play a match against. Providing this option right now will mean you will have more time to work on the other issues mentioned above. It will mean the game will become playable right now with the use of slow bowlers.. Things I like about this game:The ball actually connects with the bat, no matter where you hit it, unlike in other cricket vr games.Fun special run chases, over surviving, etc.Fielder animations and running actually look (somewhat) goodYou can skip waiting for the fielder to throw the ball back (very, very occasionally bugs and the bowler stands there without doing anything and you have to restart)Only need one controllerLeaderboard systemSatisfying when the ball is hitGenerally a great gameCons (although minor, still have an impact)The markings on the pitch don't actually line up with the stumpsFielders will catch the ball 100% of the time, no matter the speed, the height, the distance etc.You can punch the ball 500km\/h straight to silly mid off and he will catch it while playing the one handed diving animation. The only exception is the wicketkeeper. He will catch "nicks" 100% of the time but if you sky the ball and he's the one running for it he will let it drop 100% of the time. The outfield is seriously, seriously slow. The ball will occasionally bounce off the boundary for 3 (mainly near square or third man)If a spin bowler opens the bowling, until you restart the match, every bowler (even the fast bowlers) will have the ball turn the same directionThe stumps are way too wide and a little bit too tallThe sounds get very repetitive (like the crowd cheering for a boundary and the milestone cheering.) Would love to be able to disable specific sounds while still having the bat connecting with the ball sound And the main one that always bugs me: the handle is bigger than the vive controller. Seriously. Please fix this. Move the controller closer to the bat or just have it the same size. Bugs me so much.Despite all this, I've spent many hours in love with this game, and despite all the cons listed, the pros definitely outweigh. Don't let this review put you off. I hope that changes are made, bet of luck to the dev team. Updated reviewRecent updates have really propelled Balls! into the premier league of VR cricket games. This is also a fun game to play and puts you front and centre against some seriously good bowling. Barring a few issues, i.e. no sound for when your bat hits the floor and your hands being a little too high on the bat handle, the batting action is spot on. There are also lots of great scenarios to play. The developers are listening and are responsive, and provided these and a few other minor issues are sorted out then this game will be for me, easily the number one VR cricket game and a must have for any sports orientated VR owner.Original reviewI really enjoyed the limited time I have spent playing so far and with the promise of a significant update very soon I am happy to give this a big thumbs up.. Putting it blatantly, some people expect lifelike and realistic VR cricket to practice. That would either take a lot of time and a dedicated developer or the next generation of VR headsets. Yes, we are in the first generation of VR, It's new(ish) tech, and expensive. None of the cricket games I have played (I've only played 2) have been extremely realistic, this looks like leatherface was every person on the pitch. But the reason most games are popular aren't graphics, some games have horrible graphics but are really popular. It's the gameplay, which is where this game really shines. Multiple game modes, decent ball movement at random which is hard to do without making the ball do the same thing over and over again. If you just want to hit a ball in VR get Cricket VR it's free. If you want to play cricket in VR, get this. It has test match, 1 day, T20, 5 overs, street cricket T20, net practice (indoor and outdoor), just bating without a run target or wicket limit and lots of real life scenarios. The UI is really good to use, I like the fact that it is a locker room for the menu and the ready system is using your bat, wheras in VR cricket you have to press the trigger which can lead to two balls coming out at a time getting rid of your score. The only things to improve on are where the ball lands to a left handed batter and minor improvements to animations if possible.Additions to the game I would like are a tutorial showing you the differnt controls and shots, having a person on the PC\/laptop bowling against the batter, customisation to the bats instead of the boring one, teams' kit you're up against and different stadium, the field positions to change over by over, and a tournament\/league to play in.Overall a good game and would reccomend if you have a VR headset and like cricket.. I enjoy this one, with dev could be quite good. Sutch a great game and I can't wait for it to expand in the future. The best cricket game now for VR. Hope the devs keeps improving the game.. It actually works fine in Rift but the bowling is crazy fast. Even a spinner is bowling it down almost faster than you can see. I play cricket for real and i'm not a bad batsman but these deliveries are insanely fast. If they just slowed it down a bit it could be a really good game. Some graphics settings would be nice too.*update* I just want to add that I had a great session just now by going into the nets and changing the bowling settings to slow. It's still too fast compared to real life slow bowling but suddenly I was playing actual cricket shots and the ball (when hit) was reacting how it should. It felt great and like an actual training session. I then go back into the match\/challenges and the same bowling type (slow) is crazy fast again, meduim bowling is insane and fast is just ridiculous. Is this speed a bug? Please Devs, slow ALL the bowling down. This game is SO CLOSE to being brilliant but is basically unplayable in the normal modes due to the crazy fast bowling. Also, as other people have said, please can you change the facing angle to the angle that Steam VR says is forward. These two simple change will make THE WORLD of DIFFERENCE they really will..
